In Memoriam

I just got the news that one of my cousins was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident.  He was only 25, and had two small children.  He lived in California, and I hadn’t talked to him for about 10 years, but we had just recently gotten back in touch through MySpace.  What’s really sad is that I have been meaning to write back to him again after he wrote a couple weeks ago and asked what was taking so long for me to write back…  I kept putting it aside, and seeing it in my inbox, and vowing to do it later.  Now I feel horrible because it’s too late.

Well, here’s to Nicholas.  I wish I had had the chance to get to know you better as an adult, but I’ll always have my memories of our times together as kids.

Very sad sister. I am planning on taking a trip down to California in a couple of weeks when Erich gets back from Chile. It will be a good chance to see everyone again. Any luck on finding Mathew’s number?

I only met Nicholas a couple of times as a child, but the news hit me really hard. So sorry for everyone’s loss!!

Thanks Heather for posting the picture of Nicholas, it was good to see him as an adult. I remember well when he was a baby and I would go over to Nikki’s house to help her figure out formula for him…food for a baby, etc.

I sent Erich a long email regarding the loss of Nicholas in his life and he also I am sure is regretting not having spent more time with his oldest son. So sad…a young life snuffed so suddenly…just getting started on his life.

There’s a lesson here about never going through your days without telling your loved ones that you love them.

I’m telling you now…I LOVE YOU ALL,

    Nanna

I found this website through Nick’s email and was very touched by all of it. So sad that he wasn’t able to make contact. He talked about going to Oregon to see everyone and seemed very excited about it.

I miss all of you very much, please be assured that as soon as I am able I will call.

    Love to all
