We had another wonderful weekend here in the Boisvert household. The weather was gorgeous, and the activities plentiful.
On
Saturday morning, we all headed down to the marina at the Squalicum
Harbor. Bill, a family friend, invited us to come check out the sailboat
he and his family had chartered for the weekend to sail around the San
Juans. What a great weekend for it! Lindsay loved being on
a boat for the first time and didn’t want to leave.
Barney and I
actually got to go on a DATE again thanks to his wonderful co-worker
Carole, her husband Ray, and their kitty Cowboy. They played with
Lindsay on Saturday evening while Barney and I hit the town.
First we went to one of those cute places where you can paint your own
pottery and they fire it for you and you pick it up in a few days to
see the results of your work. We’ve done it a couple times now,
and we have a great time! If you’ve never done it, you really
should. I’ll take some pics of our creations when we pick them up
so you can see what we did. We then went out to a nice little
Italian Bistro for dinner. It was delicious and, while I love
having Lindsay around, it sure was nice to just be able to sit there
and chat and feed myself for once!
Lindsay didn’t like to
see us leave that evening, but we’re told she was awesome while we were
gone, and she was so happy to see us when we picked her up that she was
actually squealing, "momeeeeeeeee" with a huge smile on her face.
Too cute.
On Sunday we all hit the beach
(actually the lake here in Sudden Valley, but there’s a really nice
sandy area that’s shallow and gradually gets deeper for the
kiddos). It takes Lindsay several attempts to get used to the
cold water these days, but once she’s in, she has a blast.
Go check out the new gallery
of our weekend adventures. There aren’t a ton of photos, as it’s
hard to remember to take pics when you’re having so much fun, but at
least there are a few!
You are hilarious. I just love all the captions on your pictures.
Oh and how perfect was it that you dressed Miss Lindsay in stripes when you went on the boat. I love it! Thanks for sharing all your great adventures.
Oh and don’t think I didn’t notice your belly button has popped out and announced the baby is “Done!” :p Can’t wait to meet the little one!
LOL Carrie, baby’s done!!! Love it.
Thanks once again for the wonderful glimpse into your lives.
Hee hee hee. Carrie m’dear, the fact that you noticed I put her in those cute little stripes for her first boat adventure is one of the reasons you’re my best friend.
I love you!
Oh, I’m glad you got to have an evening together before baby number two comes! Does anyone else think that “Squalicum” sound kinda dirty? Just wondering.
