The Boisvert Life

You haven’t heard from me recently as I’ve been back and forth
between here and Portland so many times that I’m considering changing
my address!  And whenever I AM back at home, it seems like there
is so much going on that all I have time to do when I get online is to
check my email!

Anyway, lots of things have been happening this
past month.  First of all, I, along with Patrick’s sister Korissa,
threw Chloe and Patrick a babyshower. 
That was a lot of fun, and I had a ton of help from my Mom and Nanna
while getting set up.  We had over twenty guests, played some fun,
standard shower games, and ate some great food.  Chloe and Patrick
came away from the shower having hardly anything left to purchase for
the new addition except an unending supply of diapers.  

Next, I was elected as President of the MOMS Club
in my area.  I’m excited about the coming year and looking forward
to meeting even more great women and kiddos, and continuing to have a
wonderful variety of almost daily activities for us to do.  Once I
heal and can get out of the house after the new munchkin comes along,
we’ll certainly never be bored.  

Last weekend Chloe and I
put on a garage sale at her house and made over four hundred
bucks.  Not too shabby considering how the weather let us
down.  As always, I was amazed at how exhausting just standing
around all day can be.  Lindsay was awesome though, and greeted
each shopper as they came to peruse our wares.

Hmmm, what else…
oh, I haven’t really mentioned it on the site, but I’m in business with
my friend Joanna now.  We have a company called No Bake Baby Cakes. 
We make "cakes" for baby showers and any mother-to-be in general. 
The cakes are made from rolled up diapers wrapped in ribbon and
surrounded by useful baby items.  We make them in our spare
time/during the kids’ naps, and sell them locally.  We are
planning to expand though after we saw what a market there is for
them.  After being featured on the front page of the Business
section in the local paper,
the calls poured in, and we were convinced that this was in fact an in
demand item.  We are currently working on a website to take
internet orders as well, so stay tuned!  I’ll post a gallery of
some of our cakes on here as well when I get a spare second!

Ok,
I think that’s it for now.  We’re heading to Maine for a family
reunion this Thursday, but I’ll try to post again before I leave. Oh,
in case you didn’t see them, there are two new galleries over on the
left.  Oh ya, and I forgot to mention that both Chloe and Carrie have also taken some wonderful pictures of Lindsay and my visits this past month, so go check them out!
