The ‘Blind Game’

Lindsay has started playing what I like to refer to as the "blind game."

She discovered a stash of her hats in a drawer, and she loves to try
them on and look at herself in the mirror, while smacking herself in
the head and yelling, "HAT-EE, HAT-EE."

Well, the other night
as Barney and I were watching t.v. and Lindsay was entertaining herself
once again with her hats, we noticed she had pulled the hat down over
her entire face, on purpose, and was stumbling around the room
with her arms outstretched, bumping into things.  We naturally
started cracking up, and Lindsay now enjoys this game any time we’re
down in the family room.  She pulls the hat down over her eyes,
throws her hands out in front of her, and does laps around the room,
giggling madly.  She especially loves that I started telling her, "I’m gonna get you"
as she heads back towards me, and she now sprints and throws herself
into my arms in a fit of hysterics.  Man does this girl crack me
up.  She’s hilarious!

I sit here laughing, thinking about my little genious of a nephew
breaking down his secondary colors into their primaries, while my
little munchkin pretends like she’s blind, and walks around the house
smashing into things.  Such a "special" girl.  ;)

I love it!! That sounds hilarious!
I wouldn’t call Nikolai a genius, I think it’s just dumb luck, as he’s pretty “special” in his own little way.

I can assure you that kids who pretend to be blind turn out great. I myself pretended to be blind after reading the Helen Keller story in 2nd grade. And look at me! I turned out okay! Right? Right?

Just think of it as her being creative enought to make up her own games. She is quite good at entertaining herself and I think that is impressive!
