I remember when I was young, probably around 5 years old, and my sister, Chloe
got into trouble for dialing 9-1-1 and hanging up. Now, my
parents don’t even know if it was in fact Chloe who did it, to this
day, I mean, it very well could have been me or my brother. I
used to think, oh, no, we were too young, it must have been her, but I
recently changed my mind.
The other evening I got a call from a 9-1-1 operator saying they had
recieved a hang-up-call from our number. I was thoroughly
confused, since only Lindsay and I were home, but then realized that
when I had gone into the kitchen to fix Lindsay a little something to
eat, she had innocently stayed behind, playing with her toys in the
computer room. Or so I thought.
Apparently, she had pulled the phone off of the desk and proceeded to
somehow call the police. I’ve been told that if you press a bunch
of random numbers in succession that it’ll signal a distress and dial
9-1-1 for you. Don’t know if that’s true or not, but that’s all I
can come up with, because I can’t imagine her actually being lucky
enough to have dialed those three numbers in a row, ya know?
Anyway, no more playing with the phone or they might not come to our
aid if, God forbid, something ever did happen!
OOPS!!!!!
So it begins…..
Oh Heather that is too funny! I know I have done something similar with my cell phone in my purse before they made phones with keypad lock. Oh the things you have to prepare for!
That is so funny! What is it with kids and phones?
