I went on another “Moms Night Out” with a bunch of the gals from the MOMS Club last Friday. It’s our one scheduled evening each month where we leave the munchkins with thier daddies, take a shower and put on some makeup, and head out on the town to do something fun together.
This month we went to the new comedy/improv club in town to check out the local talent. To my surprise, when the man came out to warm up the crowd and introduce the night’s performers, I recognized him right away from a show Barney and I watch on t.v. quite often, as well as from the odd Drew Carrey Show rerun I’ve watched when there’s nothing else on. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the show “Who’s Line Is It Anyway”, but it turns out Ryan Stiles, the tall, gangly blond guy on it, lives in Bellingham and recently opened up this club.
It was so funny that I watch him on t.v. all of the time, and suddenly, there he was, like 10 feet in front of me, talking and smiling at me. Very strange indeed. He was very funny in person, which was nice, and the other people there that night were pretty entertaining as well. Who would have thought I’d run into a celebrity here in little ol’ Bellingham?! Overall a very enjoyable way to spend an evening.
